The inaugural International Training Course of Blood Purification in Intensive Care, jointly developed by esteemed critical care experts from China, the United States, and Europe, received widespread acclaim during its session in Zhuhai, China, from April 12th to 14th. The course assembled a global panel of top critical care medicine experts to share their experiences and achievements in the clinical application of intensive blood purification technology. This gathering attracted international attention, with over 150 clinical experts convening in Zhuhai to deliberate on the future of blood purification in intensive care.



During the opening ceremony on April 13th, Professor Guan Xiangdong, the lead developer of the course, and Professor Yu Kaijiang, the chief expert, emphasized in their opening remarks: "The advantages of hemoadsorption technology in blood purification therapy are increasingly evident, with a wide range of applications. In the future, we aim to establish technical standards for blood purification in intensive care, facilitating its optimal utilization in clinical practice."



The curriculum encompasses a wealth of topics, including the fundamental principles of blood purification in intensive care, anticoagulation strategies for continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), adjustment of antibiotic dosages for CRRT, the application of hemoadsorption technology in critically ill patients and its use in cardiac surgery and ECMO, quality control indicators for CRRT technology, and more. Critical care experts engaged in fruitful exchanges, offering diverse perspectives on the future of  blood purification in intensive care, and commending the clinical effectiveness of hemoadsorption technology.
